Automobile insurance has many ins and outs. We will help you obtain the coverage you want and need.
Coopers began making barrels in the Swiss Alps in 56 B.C. Barrels have been used to store and protect many different kinds of valuable things throughout history. Barrels give great protection and complete coverage to whatever is stored inside.
The present-day Coopers are direct descendants of Norman Lee Cooper, Confederate soldier and survivor of nineteen campaigns during the Civil War. Victor Alonzo Cooper Jr., our insurance agency's founder, was born in Yoakum, Texas in 1920. He graduated from Texas A&M-Kingsville and married Vivian Lee Debord from Hallettsville, Texas in Florida just before he left for Germany in World War II, where he was a decorated Air Force captain.
Vivian graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Vivian had three children and assisted her husband in running the insurance agency and cattle business. Victor and Vivian moved to Wortham, Texas after WWII, where they raised cattle and started the insurance agency in 1947. In 1957, they moved to Corsicana, Texas. Victor was an outstanding dad, a deacon in the Baptist church, president of the Lions Club, City Commissioner, Mayor Pro Tem, president of the Mid-Tex Life Underwriters Association, and installed in the Cattleman's Hall of Fame in Ft. Worth for being the first Charlois breeder in Navarro County. Vivian was an outstanding mom, president of the PTA, and Sunday School teacher
Dennis Cooper was born in Mexia, Texas and was raised helping his parents in the cattle and insurance businesses. Dennis graduated from Texas Tech University and went to graduate school at Texas A&M-Commerce. Dennis started his own insurance agency in 1972 in Lubbock, Texas. In 1977, Dennis moved his agency to Corsicana and merged with his dad's agency. Vivian died in 1977, shortly after the merger. Dennis' dad, Victor, retired in 1983. Dennis married Terry Magette and has two children: Carey Lee Cooper and Victor Alonzo Cooper III. Dennis is a life member of the Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Mid-Tex Life Underwriters Association, past president of the Lions Club, past member of the Million Dollar Round Table, and on the advisory board of several insurance companies. Terry is comptroller of the agencies. Terry went to Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas and was president of the PTA. Carey and Victor assisted in running the insurance agency. Carey was born in 1968. She graduated from Texas A&M University, has a Master's degree from Texas A&M-Commerce and a daughter named Arabella.
Victor Alonzo Cooper III was born in Corsicana, Texas in 1978. Victor attended Navarro College in Corsicana, Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, Johnson College in Overland Park, Kansas, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and graduated with a Master's degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Victor received a tennis scholarship to Washburn University and won the Kansas State College Tennis Tournament in 1998. Victor owns and runs his own insurance agency in Waxahachie, Texas. Victor's wife, Chasity, assists with the agency's bookkeeping, and they have three children, Caiden, Presslee, and Brynlee.

A deductible is an amount that you're responsible for in the event of a loss. This is the amount you pay out-of-pocket, and insurance covers the remainder.
When speaking with your agent to set up your policy, any valuables you are concerned about and our agent can review your policy and recommend changes to ensure your valuables have proper coverage.
No. You do not need a new home appraisal during the renewal or coverage change process.
There is no insurance company that can meet everyone's needs with the best coverage at the best price. That is why there are so many insurance companies. Do business with an Insurance Agency that represents many insurance companies. Have them review your coverages each year. Sometimes it's best to have all your insurance with the same insurance company so you can get the multiple policy discounts, and sometimes it's best to have your insurance with one agency but your insurance with many different insurance companies. Insurance companies change all the time. The one I have auto insurance with this year might not be the one I have it with next year.

Most insurance companies do a good job on claims when it's an easy claim. But when it's a difficult claim, usually a gray area claim, it's better to have an agent that represents many insurance companies so that they can go to bat for you.
Do you really think a captured agent, that is an agent that represents only one insurance company, would tell his insurance company that he would quit if they did not pay a claim when he feels that his client if being treated unfairly? Well of course not.
In my 38 years in the insurance business, I have gone to bat for many clients and have told several insurance companies that I would cease to do business with them if they did not treat my client fairly.
That is my job. I represent the client, not the insurance company.
